It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening, accompanied by the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre. Psalm 92: 1-3 NLT
I always encourage you to praise God but I find myself doing less than I ought.
The psalmist says that it is good to give thanks and praise God twice a day: morning and evening. I suppose we can do it at other times, but this is what the psalmist exhorts us to do. The psalmist also says we need to do this to music.
Don't say you can't sing! Of course, you can sing. You may not sound good but singing to God is praising God, no matter what our voices sound like. And who says we can't do this in our heads as well? Perhaps all we need to do is to turn on some praise music and lip sync the words! Dance around even! Just as long as our focus is on God and our gratitude is turned to God, we are praising.
What song or songs will you be praising God to today?
God, it is good to give thanks to you and praise your Holy Name. Help me to do this at least twice a day because I love you, Lord. Amen.
