God is

As for God, his way is perfect. All the Lord's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? Psalm 18: 30-31 NLT

How do you describe God?

What are some of God's qualities that you either admire or depend upon?

For the psalmist, God has several worthy qualities:

God's way is perfect.

Everything that God promises will be fulfilled.

God will protect those who ask.

There is no one like God.

No other is as solid as a rock.

What would you add to that list?

I would like to add:

God is dependable.

Perhaps that is already stated in this psalm but that is what comes to mind for me today.

God, you are __________________. There is no other like you! Your way is perfect and your promises are true. You are a shield for all those who look to you for protection. In Jesus' name. Amen.
