God My Victor and Redeemer

I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to you for help, and you restored my health. You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death. Psalm 30: 1-3 NLT

Have you ever been very sick? Have you ever had to spend time in the hospital undergoing tests to find out what was wrong with you? Have you been diagnosed with cancer and then gone into remission?

Then this is the prayer, the psalm for you.

In these verses, the enemy is disease, cancer, poor health. The victor is God. God is the savior and the redeemer.

Even if you have never had this kind of experience, God can still be your victor and redeemer. God is the healer whom we all need in our lives, no matter how healthy we remain.

I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to you for help, and you restored my health. You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death. In Jesus' name. Amen.
